March Newsletter & Calendar of Events

Welcome to the first issue of my online newsletter. My purpose is to provide information about the goings-on at Blake House and the surrounding area to past, current and future guests. While each newsletter will be different, my hope is to keep it light, fun, and informative. My main areas of focus will include: What's Happening Here (at the Inn), a Calendar of Events for the area, Specials, Contests, and Interesting Facts. With that in mind, here we go!

What's Happening Here (at the Inn)
March means Spring Break and this will be one of the year's busiest months. It usually starts out slow, then really gets going around the second weekend of the month. In preparation, I've been painting and repainting. In the Lilac bathroom, the dark purple walls received a golden textured coat of paint that really brightened up the room. We also replaced the old light fixture with a new one that sheds a lot more light in the bathroom (see the photo on the Guest Rooms Page). In addition, the Azalea Room has been undergoing a facelift. The wallpaper with the country hearts is no more. The room still retains its country feel with all the quilts; however, the ceiling is now sky blue. The brown crackled walls allow just a hint of the same blue color to peek through. The bathroom received a new, updated medicine cabinet and light fixture. Although the updates aren't complete, this room is certainly on its way.

Kids Stay FREE (March)

February Contest Winner
